We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Baker to join our team. This is an rare opportunity for a skilled baker who thrives in a leadership role. As our Lead Baker, you will oversee daily baking operations, manage back-of-house staff, and ensure the highest quality standards for all our products.

Required Qualifications

  • Baking experience, ideally with expertise in: Laminated doughs (croissants, pastries), cake and cupcake production, french pastry techniques and methods
  • Experience with or enthusiasm for plant-based/vegan baking
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in food service
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and passion for representing our brand
  • Commitment to quality standard

Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Manage, train, and mentor back-of-house staff
  • Assist with hiring decisions for kitchen positions
  • Assign daily production tasks and manage workflow
  • Foster professionalism and maintain positive team dynamics
  • Monitor and assist with customer service interactions

Baking & Production

  • Master our plant-based baking production processes and recipes
  • Demonstrate expertise in baking specialty items including croissants, French pastries, cakes, and cupcakes
  • Manage inventory and product ordering
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation standards
  • Lead product development and menu curation (with owner approval)

Operations & Customer Relations

  • Maintain clear, professional communication with our founder
  • Interact with customers and represent our brand with respect & excellence
  • Support overall patisserie operations and uphold our reputation

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
