PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lead Bartender DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage REPORTS TO: Beverage Director SUMMARY: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:  * Act as lead trainer for the bar team.  * Develop and distribute training materials for new hires. * Actively lead the training process for new hires.  * Determine and maintain pars for the bar, as well as for the liquor storage room; this includes pars for prep materials, garnishes, alcohol, glassware, and bar tools.  * Work closely with the Food & Beverage managers, effectively communicating ordering needs.  * Develop new cocktails. * Escalate any issues amongst the bar team to management when necessary.  * Prep the bar daily, maintain it during the shift, and clean it nightly in preparation for the next shift.  * Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment.  * Stock supplies, wash and polish glassware, fold napkins, clean menus, and sanitize tables as necessary.  * Maintain a thorough knowledge of all hotel amenities. * Stock the bar as necessary in accordance with company guidelines regarding liquor requisition. * Provide exceptional anticipatory service to all guests. * Verify guest IDs to ensure adherence to state and federal alcohol consumption laws. * Ensure responsible and accurate handling of cash bank, adhering to company policies regarding money handling.  * Accurately enter all items into the Point-of-Sale system, ensuring guests are charged appropriately.  QUALIFICATIONS:  * High school diploma/GED required * Minimum of one year of experience in a full service restaurant or cocktail lounge.  * Current legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States.  * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  * Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance required.  * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.  * Ability to bend, squat, and stretch.  * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.  BENEFITS OF JOINING THE DEWBERRY TEAM: * 401K with Company Match (4%)* * Education Reimbursement* * Paid Maternity Leave* * Complimentary Downtown Parking * Complimentary Dry Cleaning * Complimentary Daily Lunch Buffet * Best-in-class health & supplemental insurance* * Optional Supplemental Coverages* * Financial Advising with Roadside Capital * Competitive Pay * Advancement & Growth Opportunities * Full-Time and Part-Time Positions * Flexible Paid Time Off *Indicates eligibility requirement   WHO WE ARE: We are a tight-knit group of passionate individuals who are unrelenting when it comes to offering a flawless experience at The Dewberry while maintaining our unique brand standards. Responsibilities
The Lead Bartender is responsible for training the bar team and maintaining the bar's inventory and cleanliness. They will also develop new cocktails and ensure exceptional service to guests.
