JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Lead Basketball Skill Development Coach to instruct, inspire, and develop our academy members and coaches through Skills and Drills sessions, camps, clinics, small group training, and private one-on-one sessions.
Using the BTS Curriculum, we teach basketball fundamentals to athletes ranging from Kindergarten through High School. During each Skills and Drills session, athletes rotate through stations focused on shooting, ball handling, finishing, passing, and defensive skills.

This role requires an investment of time to learn and apply our development techniques.
Success in this role requires openness to feedback, collaboration with peers and ownership, and strong communication skills. The Lead Skill Development Coach will work closely with staff to manage weekly scheduling, curriculum priorities, upcoming events, and membership engagement. They should also be able to evaluate athletes’ skill levels and work ethic, adjusting drills appropriately and recommending the best programs to help families and athletes achieve their goals.
Professionalism, positivity, and strong communication are essential. The coach is expected to model these qualities through their appearance, delivery, and interactions with athletes and families.
This is a part-time position, averaging 12–18 hours per week, typically during weekday evenings (3:30–8:30 pm) and occasional weekends for league play.
If you are energetic, positive, and motivated to make a meaningful impact on youth, we welcome your application.
