Description Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Behavioral Healthcare Technician to join our team! In this leadership role, you will provide direct patient care while also helping guide and mentor other technicians. You will contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment and play a key role in supporting our patients on their path to recovery. Please note, the work schedule is AM shift (6 am - 2:30 pm), Sunday - Thursday. Medication pass (med pass) experience is required, and experience working with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) populations is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Mentorship Serve as a resource and role model for Behavioral Technicians, helping foster a cohesive and high-performing care team. Support and uphold performance standards across shifts. Patient Care Oversight Deliver direct patient care, ensuring a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment. Oversee care for up to six patients at a time. Medication Administration Conduct medication passes in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintain accurate medication records and comply with all med pass protocols. Daily Living Support Assist patients with daily living activities, promoting self-sufficiency and independence. Safety & Cleanliness Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe physical environment. Documentation & Communication Document patient behaviors, progress, and interventions in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate relevant updates to clinical, nursing, and leadership staff. Protocol & Compliance Monitor and ensure adherence to individualized care plans, facility policies, and applicable regulations. Behavioral Support Utilize de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care practices. Provide compassionate engagement to foster positive behavior change. Requirements Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare setting. Prior leadership or senior technician experience is preferred. Medication Pass: Prior experience with med pass is required. SUD Experience: Prior experience working with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) populations is a plus. CPR Certification: Must have current CPR certification (or be willing to obtain prior to start date). Clearances: Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass criminal background clearance requirements. Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to lead by example and support a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
