Lead Bike Packer & Shipping Coordinator Department: Operations Employment Type: Full Time Location: Amsterdam Compensation: €2,450 / month Description Bike Packing Team Lead (m/f/d) Location: Amsterdam, close to Ziggo Dome Type: Full-time Salary: 2.450 € gross/month + 8% holiday allowance on top About the role Upway is the leading platform for refurbished e-bikes. In 5 years, over 100,000 bikes have been saved from disposal. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on leader to take ownership of our packing and shipping area. You will personally pack high-quality bicycles safely for worldwide transport - while building, training and leading a small team of 2-3 people. This is not just a packing job: you will shape how efficiently and professionally our bikes reach our customers. Key Responsibilities Professionally disassemble, protect and box bicycles for safe shipping (using foam, cardboard, etc.) Lead and coordinate a small packing team (currently 2–3 people, growing with you) Train new team members and ensure consistent high quality Optimize packing processes to make them faster, safer and more cost-effective Manage packing materials, tools and inventory for the department Work closely with the shipping and sales team to meet daily targets Identify problems and actively suggest improvements in workflow and logistics Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Practical experience in packing, warehouse, shipping or logistics (bike industry is a big advantage, but not required) Natural leadership skills — you enjoy guiding others, motivating a team and taking ownership Strong attention to detail Physical fitness and enjoyment of practical, hands-on work Reliability, organization and a proactive attitude (!)
