LEAD BILLING CLERK, SPRINGVILLE NY

Full Time. Days.
Compensation: $18.83 - $20.73 per hour based on experience. Sign On Bonus $500.

Our Lead Billing Clerk, a member of the Patient Accounting team at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital:

• Examines and bills all accounts receivable primary and secondary claims.
• Reviews mail correspondence, denials, and handles phone calls from insurance companies as well as from patients. Understands and maintains all phases of billing.
• Assist in analysis of open claims-verification of timely submission and claim resolution as needed. Timely filing of issues/denials preventing lost revenue.
• Assist in maintaining A/R over 120. Reviews all accounts receivable claims.
• Transmits all electronic claims. Prepares trial balance reports for inpatient, Medicare, Medicaid an other carriers.
• Processes denials and insurance explanation of benefits.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years of billing both professional and institutional claims, spanning all types of carriers to include Government, Medicare, Workers Compensation/NoFault and commercial carriers.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks, ClaimMaster and or HMS a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED
