Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Lead Business Analyst to spearhead our efforts in developing a centralized database system for managing the metadata of all data assets.
The Lead Business Analyst will play a vital role in bridging complex business requirements with scalable technical solutions, while mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members. This position involves leading collaborative efforts with data solution architects, privacy, security, compliance teams, and other key stakeholders to drive the successful delivery of initiatives. The ideal candidate is adept at making data-informed decisions and influencing organizational strategies related to data management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a closely related field; advanced degrees strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar leadership position focusing on data-intensive projects
  • Proven experience working with complex datasets and advanced analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, or Jira at an expert level
  • Demonstrated ability to draft detailed functional and technical specifications, including expertise in designing sophisticated process flows and data mappings
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance principles, with practical experience applying them in enterprise frameworks
  • Proficient in identifying opportunities for system optimization and leading efforts to enhance cross-functional workflows and integration
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership qualities, with proven experience managing cross-functional projects and mentoring junior staff
  • Track record of collaborating with privacy, security, and compliance stakeholders to ensure adherence to evolving regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying, defining, and documenting business and technical requirements for the data catalog project
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing systems and processes to uncover inefficiencies and recommend significant integration and improvement opportunities
  • Translate complex business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical specifications, providing actionable guidance to development teams
  • Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project documentation such as requirement specifications, process diagrams, and data flow maps
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving strategic alignment and resolving roadblocks
  • Provide advanced analytical insights by identifying trends, correlations, and opportunities within data that influence high-level decision-making
  • Monitor project milestones, proactively address emerging risks, and implement innovative solutions to maintain delivery timelines and quality
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and user training sessions that encourage collaboration and drive stakeholder engagement
  • Ensure seamless integration of technology solutions with existing workflows and compliance frameworks, focusing on long-term scalability
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance to ensure the team operates efficiently and meets deliverables with high standards
  • Stay continually informed on cutting-edge developments in metadata management, governance frameworks, and emerging best practices to bring innovation into the organization
  • Advocate for organizational change by promoting user adoption of the data catalog system through effective training programs and regular feedback-driven updates
