Description

ABOUT US

Securing Energy for Europe – it’s a simple statement, with a bold ambition. SEFE is not just our name, but also encompasses everything that drives us. To accomplish this, we’re taking immediate action to secure gas supply – but also looking forward, to explore our role in the European energy transformation and how we can contribute to a stable and sustainable future.
SEFE, an international energy company, ensures the security of supply and drives the decarbonisation of its customers. SEFE’s activities span the energy value chain, from origination and trading to sales, transport, and storage. Through its decades-long expertise in trading and the development of its LNG business, SEFE has become one of the most important suppliers to industrial customers in Europe, with an annual sales volume of 200 TWh of gas and power. Its 50,000 customers range from small businesses to municipalities and multinational organisations. By investing in clean energies and especially in the hydrogen ecosystem, SEFE is contributing to the energy transition. The company employs around 2,000 people globally and is owned by the Federal Government of Germany.
Our international teams work across locations in Europe, Asia, and North America. We’re passionate about energy and the important role it can play in shaping a better future.
Securing energy – now and for the future.

We work in an agile environment and in an industry that is always evolving. The ability to deliver functional capabilities that add business value quickly is essential. You need to understand the difference between tactical and strategic delivery and know how to balance both to get the best out of our stakeholders and your team.

  • Own all functional and non-functional changes within your vertical. You can delegate, but you stay accountable for quality.
  • Validate cross-vertical changes and make sure every analysis and set of acceptance criteria meet our standards. When there’s a major change, you’ll assess the impact, give high-level estimates, and communicate clearly with stakeholders—your work shapes business decisions.
  • Manage the backlog, working with delivery and technical leads to make sure the highest-value work gets delivered at pace.
  • Keep an up-to-date view of all systems and processes in your area and help develop business cases that balance stakeholder priorities, technical direction, cost, and benefit.
  • Partner with Trading, Sales, Middle Office, and Back Office, turning real business needs into deliverable requirements. You’re the main link between IT delivery and the business—nothing goes into production until users confirm it’s right. You’ll organise and support user acceptance testing, gather feedback, and make sure everything is signed off before go-live.
  • Keep a close eye on projects across the business, identifying risks and dependencies before they become issues, and making sure the ETRM vertical keeps moving forward.
  • Work directly with Technical Leads and Solution Architects to align on roadmaps and annual plans. You’ll lead a team of BAs, Developers, and QAs in the UK and Europe, setting the tone for quality and collaboration. You’ll also have line management responsibility for BAs in other delivery verticals, mentoring and building a high-performing team of future leaders. Office attendance is at least two days a week—expect real interaction, not just remote delivery
Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to drive meaningful change and set the pace for ETRM strategy and delivery. You’ll help shape the future of our trading technology landscape in a team that values agility, clear outcomes, and bold thinking. If you want ownership, influence, and the chance to solve complex challenges at the heart of an industry leader, this is the right step.
