Overall Objectives of Job: Position Summary This role is responsible for analysing software, systems and programs according to business requirements by learning through experiences and being self-organised while working on a problem. Will also be actively involved in the integration and system testing of developed systems / applications. A member of the DevTeam in the scrum team and will be reporting to the Service Manager - APAC. Key Responsibilities: Independently develop, define and maintain documentations in an agile scrum team. Study and validate user requirement, review and make suggestions to improve IT procedures, standards and/or guidelines. Deliver business analysis work during every sprint and is heavily involved in solution design, support development and testing extensively. Work collaboratively with stakeholders and team members across the globe in various time zones and regionally in Asia Pacific. Active participation in sprint planning, daily standup, review, retrospective and demo. Key requirements / skills / experience: 3–5 years of IT professional experience, ideally within the financial services sector Advanced business analysis and testing expertise Familiarity with the full SDLC lifecycle (minimum 1–3 years) Intermediate understanding of Agile fundamentals and experience working in a Scrum team Strong general insurance knowledge Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Intercultural awareness and at least 1–3 years of international work experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (IT, computer science, business) Professional certifications (preferred) Ability to cover time zones from Japan (8:30am) through to India (18:00pm) and business level English proficiency required Future Challenges Adapting quickly to evolving financial services technologies and regulatory requirements Bridging gaps between business and technical teams in complex, fast-paced Agile environments Maintaining high-quality deliverables across international and culturally diverse teams Contributing effectively to transformation initiatives within insurance or broader financial domains Ensuring continuous learning to keep pace with innovation in data, AI, and system development practices Having a basic understanding or exposure to AI tools would be a plus.
