Meta is seeking a strategic, and execution-focused Payments Lead to drive the growth and adoption of payments within our messaging platforms—especially WhatsApp—Globally, located in Brazil. This high-visibility role is critical to achieving large growth targets and will be the single point of contact orchestrating cross-functional efforts across product, sales, partnerships, and engineering. The Payments Lead will play a pivotal role in scaling merchant adoption, accelerating go-to-market strategies, and ensuring the success of payments products in one of Meta’s most important markets. Responsibilities Identify and pursue opportunities to expand payments adoption on Meta’s messaging platforms, with a focus on WhatsApp in Brazil Build and maintain solid relationships with merchants, partners, and payment providers to accelerate onboarding and drive transaction volume Develop and implement go-to-market plans for new payments features and initiatives, collaborating closely with sales, product, and marketing teams Coordinate efforts across product, engineering, partnerships, and compliance teams to ensure successful delivery of payments solutions Gather feedback from merchants and partners to identify opportunities for product enhancements and inform the product roadmap Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all payments initiatives meet local regulatory and compliance requirements Support merchants and partners throughout their journey, ensuring they realize clear value and achieve success with Meta’s payments solutions Identify and promote new use cases, success stories, and metrics that demonstrate the impact of payments on Meta’s messaging platforms Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 7+ years of experience in product management, business development, partnerships, or related roles in payments, fintech, or technology sectors Proven track record of driving growth and adoption of technology products in complex, cross-functional environments Experience working with large merchants, payment providers, or technology partners in Brazil. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders Excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English Sufficient technical knowledge to engage in product and integration discussions with merchants and partners Fluent English Preferred Qualifications Experience in the messaging, payments, or fintech industry, especially with platforms like WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram Direct Deep understanding of the Brazilian payments ecosystem, including regulatory and compliance requirements Experience leading go-to-market strategies and launching new products or features. Demonstrated ability to build and nurture partner ecosystems (BMP, TSP, ISV) Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data and inform product strategy.
