This position is responsible for providing assistance to residents in Memory Care with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position supports the department manager with training of new staff and care management planning. Job Description Provide assistance as needed with medication (per state regulations), bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Upon direction of the Director of Memory Care, coordinate and conduct training of new staff members. Meet on a regular basis with the Director of Memory Care to review resident care issues. Serve as the staff and family resource when the director is unavailable or away from the building. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Document daily log of assistance. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents’ confidentiality. Qualifications Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Years of Experience: 1+ years of experience preferred Type of Experience: Senior care or related field Special Certifications: May require a CNA or CHHA licensure or other state required training Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties. Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills Skills and Ability: • Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely.
