JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and manage various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in carpentry and project management. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively coordinate tasks, mentor team members, and ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in construction estimating and project management.
  • Strong background in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, and general construction practices.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting techniques, and safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Knowledge of concrete forming processes and plastering techniques.
  • Experience in fabrication processes related to the restoration industry is a plus.
  • Competence in roofing systems installation and maintenance.
  • Understanding of caulking applications for weatherproofing structures.
  • Skills in siding installation along with cabinet installation practices are beneficial.
  • Experience with restoration projects including water damage restoration is highly valued.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of construction workers on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Execute trim and frame carpentry tasks, including basic finishing knowledge like installing doors, baseboard/trim, and framing
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various construction tasks.
  • Read site plans to understand project specifications and requirements.
  • Manage high end renovation and new build projects along side PM
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations on the construction site while maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members in carpentry techniques and restoration practices.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, metal stud framing, CNC operations, assembly, and maintenance person services as required.
