Make Visits to SGS NA Clients’ facilities (generally from one (1) to five (5) days at a time) throughout the United States (with the majority of clients in Eastern portion of the United States). The time requirements may vary from assignment based on the type of assessment to be completed at each client site. Responsible for performing third party audits at the client sites per SGS certification procedures and the requirements of the applicable standard; and will be responsible for making relevant decisions concerning the audit process and to inform SGS as required to resolve issues outside the audit process. Specific responsibilities will include: assimilating, understanding and operating the SGS certification management system in all activities relevant to the post, and liaising with the product managers and accreditation manager regarding changes to its design and implementation; performing audits in any capacity in conformance with the SGS global/local procedures, sector specific schemes; deciding upon evidence gained during audits whether or not registration should be recommended or allowed to continue; striving to acquire sufficient audit experience to cover the whole of SGS’s certification’s accredited activities; assisting in the training of other auditors during planned audits or during other training functions; participating actively in witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies; maintaining all audit credentials; and undertaking any other activities as directed by the operations and/or accreditation manager. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include: 5 years of experience in any industry including 1 year experience in a quality assurance role; 1 year experience working with a certification body. Must have been previously issued ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification; ISO14001 Lead Auditor Certification; and ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Certification. May work from home office on East Coast of United States; Requires 80% travel in the US and possibly international. Travel will be to client sites to conduct audits. 5 days/40hrs/wk; $116,500 per year.
