As a Lead Chemical Engineer here at Honeywell UOP, you will play a key role in a team of chemical engineers supporting our customers and participating in the development and implementation of innovative solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and improvement, provide technical expertise and guidance to our customers, and ensure the successful execution of projects.
In this role, you will have an impact by building strong, trusted advisor relationships with our customers, providing technical leadership, strategic direction, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Hybrid Work Module 3 days from Office and 2 Days from Home. Bracknell Honeywell.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 4+ years of experience in naphtha process technologies, gained from UOP Field Operating Service, UOP Engineering, or a Refinery in process operations, technical services, or engineering design.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for a range of UOP technologies, with a primary focus on CCR Platforming®, Fixed Bed Platforming®, Penex®, ParIsom®, Butamer®, and potential involvement in Naphtha Hydrotreating, InAlk®, CatPoly and several developing sustainable process technologies.
  • Provide technical support for a range of technologies designed and licensed by other vendors and operate with UOP catalyst, with a primary focus on naphtha reforming and naphtha isomerization. Interact with external customers, including licensee/operating companies, EPC contractors, vendors, consultants, as well as internal teams such as Field Operating Services, Customer Success Organization (CSO), R&D, Engineering, and Business groups.
  • Complete the transfer of technology to deliver UOP-licensed units to ensure that they operate optimally, profitably, and safely. Collaborate with other UOP departments involved in technology delivery, such as Sales/Sales Support, Engineering and Catalyst Development.
  • Gain exposure and knowledge of accountabilities in other areas, providing opportunities for career advancement within Technology Services and other departments like CSO, R&D, and Engineering. Collaborate with customers to help them improve the operation of their units. Review and analyze commercial unit operating data and provide feedback and recommendations.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and conduct on-site commercial unit audits. Support catalyst reloads from loading through guaranteed acceptance. Support new units and revamped unit startups from pre-commissioning through guaranteed acceptance.
  • Attend customer meetings and Engineering review meetings for new units and revamps. Participate in Digital Services implementation, product development and improvement projects.
