This is within a small nurse-led team that works autonomously with excellent consultant staff support. It provides great scope and opportunity to develop your advanced nursing skills on direct patient care in nurse led clinics and patient liaison with a wide range of stakeholders both internally at UCLH and externally.
The service is part of the renowned cancer nursing service at UCLH and we provide professional development, both in-job and through post graduate pathways. You have the opportunity to attend national and international conferences.

They will ensure that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery. They will be responsible for coordinating care, monitoring expenditure, monitoring the quality of clinical support and environmental services and managing specialist nursing staff. They will also be accountable for the development and performance management of CNS’s within their team to enable delivery of the trust nursing and midwifery strategy.
The Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist is a leadership role within the Trust integral to the provision of a high-quality service for patients under the care of the Late Effects service.
