As __Lead Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)__ in __Mannheim__, you are responsible for the strategic and operational improvements of the company’s cloud platform. The primary focus is on __cost optimization of the AWS environment__ and __supporting all application and platform teams__ in building and maintaining __automated CI/CD pipelines__ for efficient deployments. This role requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills across various teams.
__Key Responsibilities__

COLLABORATION & ENABLEMENT:

  • Support all engineering teams in utilizing the cloud platform through best practices, training, and consulting
  • Promote and implement self-service platforms for developers to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Foster a DevOps and automation culture across the company

The skillset we are looking for

  • Extensive experience in __managing__ and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure with a strong understanding of FinOps principles
  • Deep knowledge of modern CI/CD technologies and expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
  • Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, and ECS, along with observability and monitoring solutions
  • Strong understanding of __security__ and compliance requirements in cloud infrastructure
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost control
  • Strong communication skills to work across interdisciplinary teams
  • Strategic vision to continuously evolve the cloud platform
  • Ability to empower teams rather than creating central bottlenecks
