About the Role: The Lead - COB Dockhand plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our waterfront activities at Hidden Cove. This position is responsible for overseeing dock operations, managing staff, and ensuring safety protocols are followed to provide an exceptional experience for our guests. The Lead Dockhand will coordinate the arrival and departure of vessels, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dock area. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring dock staff to enhance their skills and efficiency. Ultimately, the Lead Dockhand is pivotal in creating a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors to our facility. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in a dockhand or similar role within the hospitality or recreation industry. * Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to waterfront operations. Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in first aid and CPR. * Experience in a supervisory or leadership role. * Knowledge of local waterways and boating regulations. Responsibilities: * Supervise daily dock operations and staff to ensure efficient service delivery. * Coordinate the arrival and departure of boats, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to. * Assist guests with loading and unloading their vessels, providing excellent customer service. * Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dock area, including equipment and supplies. * Train and mentor dock staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
