The Position: We are looking for a person to support the Compliance Department, Mental Health Department, and the Director of Contract Compliance in maintaining quality standards, procedures and system maintenance within McKinley and contracting entities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or other related fields required
  • Prior LACDMH Quality Assurance/Compliance Experience including knowledge of IBHIS, Billing Procedure Codes and Welligent preferred

COMPUTER/OFFICE SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Word Processing, e-mail, internet, ability to learn clinical software, basic office skills (i.e. typing, telephone, copier)
  • Prevention and Early Intervention Outcome Measure App (OMA), Welligent, OQ Analyst Program, and IBHIS

PHYSICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB, and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites on and off campus

Responsibilities
  • Provide Supervision to Program Compliance Specialists.
  • Processing of all Mental Health documentation (including but not limited to: IBHIS, Welligent, OMA, NAPAA, Provider Direct, etc)
  • Overseeing specific County Documentation and Billing when indicated (including, but not limited to: Intakes, Initials, Chart Audits, Discharges, etc.)
  • Reviewing DMH documentation for Compliance with Regulatory and Agency standards and to ensure they reflect a high level of care
  • Monitor the accuracy of records and complete reconciliation of services as needed
  • Report any and all documentation deficiencies and/or compliance concerns to the VP of Contract Compliance and Billing, Senior Vice President of Programs, VP of Mental Health, and Clinical Directors/supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Complete and submit MH documentation as indicated (including, but not limited to: Change of Provider Logs and Cultural Logs to Los Angeles County Mental Health Department)
  • Assist service delivery staff in completing/adjusting documentation
  • Organize and prepare records/files for visits and audits
  • Coordinate any procedural and/or documentation changes with the Director of Compliance
  • Oversee the agency’s Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) Plan
  • Process New/Existing Staff Taxonomy changes/updates
  • Scope new staff and register them with the County and the Internal EHR
  • Train and support Compliance Specialists on daily tasks as needed
  • Other related duties as needed
