Description Discover your exciting roles Exyte are now recruiting for an Lead Construction Supervisor // Appointed Person (Lifting Supervisor) for our new data center project site, which is located approx. 90 mins outside Helsinki. The primary purpose of this post is to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient planning, supervision, and execution of all lifting operations on site. Acts as the competent person for lift planning and oversees all aspects of crane and lifting activities in accordance with local and European regulations About our Data Centers (DTC) division Exyte delivers comprehensive data center services from design to construction, ensuring efficiency and reliability. With our integrated project delivery approach, we have successfully executed numerous projects worldwide, including advanced intelligence data centers, hyperscale data centers, colocation and cloud-computing data centers using traditional construction as well as modular construction techniques. Explore your tasks and responsibilities Plan, supervise, and coordinate all lifting operations on site, ensuring compliance with safety legislation and company procedures. Prepare detailed lift plans and risk assessments for all lifting activities. Ensure all lifting equipment and accessories are properly inspected, certified, and maintained. Liaise with site management, clients, crane operators, and rigging teams to communicate and execute safe lifting practices. Conduct briefings and toolbox talks related to specific lifting operations. Monitor site activities to ensure lifting operations are performed in accordance with the agreed plan. Intervene and stop operations if unsafe practices are observed and implement corrective actions. Maintain all records related to lifting operations in accordance with regulatory and company requirements. Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards throughout all activities. Show your expertises Essential NPORS N401 (Appointed Person – Lifting Operations) qualification, or an equivalent recognized for lifting operations in Finland and Europe. Previous experience as an appointed person or lifting supervisor in construction or heavy industry. Strong knowledge of local and EU safety regulations relating to lifting operations. Ability to prepare, interpret, and enforce lift plans. Effective communication and leadership skills. Competency in site-based risk assessment and incident reporting. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) Desirable Additional lifting/rigging certifications (e.g., CPCS, LOLER, ISO standards). Experience in international or multi-lingual projects. First Aid or safety management training. Knowledge of automated/remote lift monitoring systems.
