Description
Lead Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and achieve operational excellence. Lead or facilitate projects or events such as Rapid Improvement Events, VSM, Continuous Flow, Standardization 5S, Error Proofing, Eliminating Waste, TPM, Business Process Improvements, and Basic Problem Solving. Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans for implementation of continuous improvement based upon lean assessment. Assemble, verify, and analyze the results from CI events, prepare reports and present findings Support other key plant processes and provide cross-functional support as directed. Coordinate OPEX related self-assessments. Document and maintain manufacturing process work instructions Drive Manufacturing / Manufacturing Engineering tasks to completion in PROLaunch NPI and STP projects Support all EHS functions. Encourage team concepts and engagement. Support facilities and maintenance activities. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. At least 3 years of work experience in manufacturing, engineering, or quality. Training and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications POSITION CRITERIA: Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems. Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
