JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Controls Engineer will serve as a technical authority, advancing innovation through development of industry-leading technology solutions, design and implementation of best practices, and hands-on support across software, hardware, complex system architectures, and integrated applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of controls engineering design experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant technologies and regulations: PLC, HMI, Motion Control, Networking, Safety, Vision Systems, Data Collection.
  • Familiarity with design/specification documents.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years automation/controls engineering design experience.
  • Experience designing industrial plants, water treatment, manufacturing, CIP processes.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, CSA, CE, IEC codes.
  • Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, AutoCAD-Electrical.
  • Ability to operate interfaces, write technical documentation, and train customers.

  • Deploy reliable control system designs and upgrades through testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and validation.
  • Drive continuous improvement via mentorship and development of standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Perform field engineering duties including system startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, acceptance, and site leadership.
  • Define and document control system designs, requirements, test plans, and results.
  • Support client proposals with solutions, equipment, costing, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and sales teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
