The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our residents’ satisfaction.Responsibilities Help in the preparation and execution of all food production, Have mastery over all cooking techniques utilized in batch and line cooking of standard American fare. Ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently. Have full control of the planning and directing food preparation for the week. Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation. Manage and train kitchen staff. Assist with ordering and inventory. Comply with and enforce strict sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Fill in when needed. Flexible with schedule. Following, interpreting, and elevating company recipes. Requirements 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Excellent record of kitchen and staff management Flexibility and availability Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions. Prefer some familiarity with senior community environment and cooking in this venue.
