Description
The Territory Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced Lead Cook to join our culinary team. This is a hands-on position for a skilled and dependable cook who can lead by example, maintain high standards during service, and help train and develop other kitchen staff. The ideal candidate is organized, works well under pressure, and takes pride in producing high-quality food while supporting the overall success of the kitchen. This role offers opportunities for growth and increased responsibility within the Food & Beverage department. Essential Job Functions Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and club quality expectations. Lead daily kitchen service and help coordinate workflow among kitchen staff. Work grill, salad, fry, prep, and banquet stations as needed. Train and mentor cooks and kitchen staff on recipes, procedures, and plating standards. Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution. Assist with prep lists, inventory counts, and receiving deliveries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen work areas. Follow and enforce food safety and sanitation standards. Communicate inventory shortages, equipment concerns, and operational needs to management. Assist with service for club events, tournaments, and private functions. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in a leadership role preferred. Strong knowledge of grill, salad, fry, and banquet cooking. Ability to train and motivate team members. Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain prior to employment.
