OVERVIEW:

INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cybersecurity Team Lead will serve as the senior technical and operational authority overseeing the 557th Weather Wing’s Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment (CORA) and cybersecurity compliance programs. This position leads a multi-disciplinary team composed of Cybersecurity Analysts, Information Assurance Analysts, and Systems Analysts in delivering full-spectrum cybersecurity, secure software development, and policy compliance support in alignment with Air Force (AF) and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.
The Team Lead is responsible for integrating technical, procedural, and compliance activities into a cohesive Wing-wide cybersecurity strategy, ensuring mission systems are secured, accredited, and capable of supporting global operational requirements.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active Secret clearance is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 7 years’ progressive cybersecurity experience, with at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a DoD or USAF operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with:
  • Endpoint Security
  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Threat Hunting & Risk Analysis
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • DISA STIGs
  • Cyber Incident Response
  • RMF and ATO processes
  • Secure software development and security scanning tools.
  • Possess two or more of the following certifications (or +3 years’ experience in lieu per certification): CISSP, CASP+, Security+, CISM, EC CISO, CEH, Pentest+, CYSA+, ICS2 CC, Kubernetes (MK100/CKAD/CKS/DKP), ACAS, GCIH, GISP, A+, ITIL v3/v4, Forescout, CCNA, Linux+.
  • Strong ability to brief senior leadership and translate technical concepts into mission-impact terms.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior leadership experience in USAF cybersecurity or joint military cyber operations.
  • Experience leading enterprise-level cybersecurity strategy development and execution.
  • Familiarity with cloud migration and cloud-native security architectures.
  • Prior US Air Force or Military Service experience.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Program Oversight


    • Lead and manage a cross-functional team responsible for cybersecurity operations, information assurance, and systems security analysis.

    • Assign tasks, set priorities, and oversee performance to ensure all PWS requirements are met or exceeded.
    • Act as the primary interface between the team, 557 WW leadership, and other mission stakeholders for all cyber-related activities.
    • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level analysts, fostering technical expertise and professional growth.
    • Cybersecurity Operational Readiness
    • Direct the planning, testing, implementation, and validation of all applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
    • Oversee the development and sustainment of the Cybersecurity Compliance Dashboard tracking STIG status, POA&Ms, and risk trends.
    • Ensure timely execution of quarterly revalidations and mini-CORAs, integrating findings into program improvement.
    • Lead cyber risk analysis and threat hunting activities to proactively address vulnerabilities.
    • Information Assurance & Policy
    • Supervise the creation, tailoring, and enforcement of Wing and local cybersecurity policies in alignment with AF and DoD directives.
    • Ensure development and maintenance of Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts for ATO packages.
    • Oversee the creation of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) integrating risk analysis and threat mitigation.
    • Systems Security & Secure Development
    • Direct secure software development and ensure application of STIGs to software systems.
    • Oversee the use of Fortify, CodeSonar, and other security tools to validate code compliance.
    • Coordinate with software sustainers to assess baselines against STIG checklists, documenting results and remediation plans.
    • Program Integration & Reporting
    • Lead coordination of recurring cyber security meetings, briefings, and technical reviews with 557 WW leadership.
    • Ensure timely delivery of all CDRLs and contract deliverables, with accuracy and compliance to PWS standards.
    • Track emerging cybersecurity directives, STIG updates, and cloud security requirements to maintain continuous compliance posture.
