ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a Lead Data Architect to design and evolve healthcare data architecture and lead database modernization initiatives across EMR, laboratory, pharmacy, and national health systems. You will define interoperability strategy using HL7 and FHIR standards, design REST API integration approaches, and support analytics and AI initiatives while working across SQL Server and PostgreSQL in a distributed systems environment. The role includes mentoring engineers and driving data quality, governance, and performance improvements across the platform. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Design and evolve healthcare data architecture and data models; - Lead database modernization, optimization, and scalability initiatives; - Define healthcare interoperability strategy using HL7 and FHIR standards; - Design integration approaches for EMR, laboratory, pharmacy, and national health systems; - Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture decisions; - Support analytics, reporting, and future AI initiatives; - Improve data quality, governance, and performance; - Mentor engineers on database and integration best practices. MUST HAVES - 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Solution Architecture; - Strong experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL; - Enterprise data modeling experience; - Experience with REST APIs and system integrations; - Experience working with distributed systems; - Strong architecture and design skills; - Experience with HL7 and/or FHIR; - Upper-intermediate English level. NICE TO HAVES - Healthcare, EMR, or EHR experience; - Analytics or data warehouse experience; - Public health or other regulated industry experience.
