POSITION SUMMARY

We’re seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of data systems powering our mental well-being initiatives. This role will set technical direction, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and collaborate across engineering, product, and analytics to deliver high-impact solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and platforms for large-scale, secure, and reliable analytics.
  • Lead and mentor data engineers, software engineers, and QA colleagues, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
  • Partner with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
  • Champion best practices in data governance, quality, and security.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to advance our mental well-being mission.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision for data engineering within the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering,
  • Proven expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, SQL/NoSQL, cloud platforms).
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Scala, Java).
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing.
  • Track record of mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, people-first mindset.
  • Hands on experience in designing and building data engineering solutions in cloud environments (preferably GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with multiple ML/AI AlgorithmsFamiliarity with leveraging AI tools in support of SDLC.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in GCP (Big Query, GCS, Pub/Sub, DataProc, Airflow/Composer etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries.
  • Experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and analytics.
  • Passion for advancing mental well-being through technology.
