QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar technical role.
• 1+ years of experience managing or mentoring a team.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and building complex data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Strong experience with data warehousing, data analytics, and scalable data architecture.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional, inter-region teams.
• Exposure to PHP, JavaScript, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) is a plus.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and proactive mindset.
• Strong team player who can also operate effectively as an independent contributor.
• High level of curiosity, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our Singapore office. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and a passion for mentoring all the data engineers. You will play a key role in building scalable data solutions, supporting pre-sales activities, and strengthening our overall solution offerings in the market.
This is a strategic position that will help shape our data engineering practice and drive revenue growth through technical leadership, solution development, and client engagement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, robust, and efficient data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data architectures.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering technical growth and career development.
• Collaborate with sales and solutions teams to support pre-sales initiatives, including technical presentations, solution design, and proof-of-concepts.
• Work closely with clients to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data warehouses and data analytics platforms on cloud (Google Cloud preferred).
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and methodologies.
• Actively participate in technical solutioning and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-regional teams and support agile delivery models.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering and analytics.
