We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that power our analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of data engineering best practices. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to mentor junior engineers, and a passion for building data-driven solutions that deliver business value.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in data engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or senior-level role.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and distributed data processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Flink, etc.).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data services (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Hands-on experience with modern data pipeline tools (Airflow, dbt, Kafka, etc.).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and optimize complex data workflows.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable and reliable data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
• Oversee the development of data lake, data warehouse, and ETL/ELT processes to ensure efficient data integration and accessibility.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across all data systems and platforms.
• Optimize data storage and query performance to support advanced analytics and reporting use cases.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering, coding standards, and documentation.
• Evaluate and implement modern data engineering tools, cloud technologies, and frameworks.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level data engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and technical excellence.
• Partner with leadership to define the data engineering roadmap and align it with organizational strategy.
