JOB TITLE: LEAD DATA SCIENTIST

Location: Remote (CONUS/50 U.S.)
Travel Required: Remote work from anywhere in the 50 U.S. states.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The Lead Data Scientist will serve as the primary technical resource for the SSG Fox SPGP data ecosystem, leading database redesign, managing data pipelines, and conducting advanced quantitative analysis to support client reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead analysis, design, and implementation of database redesign for “episodes of service” tracking
• Manage and optimize ETL processes from the Data Collection Tool to the analytics platform
• Deliver the “Return to Database Redesign White Paper” and “Database Enhancement Technical Documentation”
• Perform advanced statistical analysis on program data
• Collaborate with the Power BI Developer to ensure data models meet dashboard requirements

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
Experience: 7+ years in data engineering or data science

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

• Expertise in database design and data modeling
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (MS SQL Server, MongoDB/DocumentDB)
• Hands-on ETL and data pipeline experience (e.g., PySpark)
• Strong statistical analysis skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  Preferred: Master’s degree, experience with PWS-listed technologies, and federal healthcare data expertise (HIPAA).
