Department overview The DC Planning Department is responsible for forecasting, capacity planning, and coordinating labor, space, and workflow within the distribution center. The team ensures inventory flow, staffing levels, and operational plans are aligned with demand to support efficient, on-time order fulfillment while optimizing costs and resources. What You’ll Do: Key focus is to manage the priority in terms of operational processes and shipment completion. Engage with all DC departments, and associates in problem resolution processes to assure service outcomes are meeting or exceeding expectations. Identify, resolve and actively communicate issues, specifically detected during waving, and serve as a central problem solving point for these matters. Ensure proper documentation in related systems and reporting. Manage location availability on active picking areas (including aging). Monitor and manage daily pack outs. Monitor and manage daily locations shortages related to outbound orders. First point of contact in case of (urgent) adjustments to the daily plan. This includes alignment with other MK departments like Operations, Logistics, Allocation, and Customer Service. You’ll Need to Have: HBO working- and thinking level Knowledge of the English Language (verbal and written), any additional language is a plus Proven experience with WMS (Manhattan would be ideal) Strong excel knowledge Ability to effectively present information and/or carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
