Description

Seeking an experienced sailor and Lead Deckhand for a 60m+ performance sailing yacht with a private, dual-season program that blends competitive racing with adventurous, off-the-beaten-path cruising. You’ll join a well-established deck team of five, on a yacht known for its crew longevity and strong team dynamic. The ideal candidate will come from a performance sailing background and hold a YM Offshore. You must be a confident sailor. Racing experience is highly desirable, as is previous experience of performance yachts. Strong background in deck hardware maintenance, and a hands-on approach are essential. The crew is active and sporty, enjoying team activities, water sports, and hiking. The program includes remote cruising and racing, with upcoming plans for The Caribbean followed by the US east coast and Pcific cruising. Qualifications required: YM, 2+ years experience on performance sailing yachts, racing background, ideally B1/B2 in hand Itinerary: World cruising, regattas Male/female: Either Start date and joining location: Europe, October Package: DOE, 6 weeks leave

Responsibilities

The Lead Deckhand will be responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the yacht while participating in both racing and cruising activities. The role requires a confident sailor who can contribute to a strong team dynamic.
