LEAD DEVELOPER, EINSTANT PLATFORM

We are seeking a Lead Developer to join our eInstant Platform team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you’ll have the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge backend systems that power our globally recognized eInstant games. Veikkaus’ eInstant GaaS service and games are already trusted by around fifteen lottery operators worldwide.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in creating and enhancing business-critical, high-volume, cloud-native solutions built on a modern composable architecture. With financial transactions at the core, your work will ensure our systems remain secure, high-quality, and easy to maintain.
We hope you are a self-driven individual who takes ownership of your tasks and sees them through to completion. You should be capable of working independently, even in situations where all the necessary information is not immediately available. You thrive on taking initiative, demonstrating problem-solving skills, and completing tasks efficiently and effectively.

EXPECTED SKILLS:

• At least 10+ years of development experience on the backend side
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, GitLab CI/CD and Terraform
• Proficiency in both Finnish and English
• Good collaboration and communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Strong skills in Go and/or Java programming language
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Grafana, GCP Pub/Sub, and Linux
