PURPOSE

Global Fixed Income Team is looking for an energetic and result-oriented senior Developer to lead a team working on in-house developed applications integrating into existing ION platform using vendor (ION) API as well as other streaming platform systems. Candidate needs to be proficient with functional programming with Java and Scala. Successful candidate must have extensive hands-on expertise in building complex real-time Capital Markets applications, possess advanced understanding of capital markets, flows, and products. Experience building on established Fixed Income platforms such as ION MarketView or Broadview will be considered a strong asset. Candidate must have experience interfacing with the business, will be expected to understand and formulate requirements, and co-ordinate with several business lines and other technology groups. Candidate will be expected to provide coaching, leadership, and mentoring for a team of developers, as well as participate in hiring and performance reviews.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design, develop, test, and deploy components using vendor (ION) API in Java
• Interface with Capital Markets Front Office users (Traders and Sales) to gather requirements, demo new features, prioritize work, manage expectations, etc.
• Lead a team of developers; coaching, mentoring, and providing guidance to team members
• Code review, knowledge sharing
• Communicate with technology to leverage effort and investment
• Continuously expand on team knowledge
