The Role AspenTech is a market leader, providing software that optimizes process manufacturing – including oil and gas, petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process. We are hiring a highly driven Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) to support AspenTech’s Growth Industries (GI) sales organization across the APAC region, based in our Singapore office. This is a pure outbound prospecting role focused on uncovering net-new pipeline within target markets. You will engage cold prospects, identify business challenges, generate early stage interest and qualify leads through disciplined outbound execution. You will use Outreach as your primary sales engagement platform, along with ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, to identify, engage, and qualify leads. Qualified leads are passed to Strategic Account Managers – Growth Industries for acceptance and progression to SQL and opportunity creation. We are looking for someone energized by building pipeline from scratch who brings curiosity, creativity, and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve. Your Impact Execute outbound prospecting into target accounts through multi-channel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn) Research and map accounts, stakeholders, and industry dynamics to identify and qualify new leads Generate and qualify net-new leads and early-stage pipeline Develop clear, relevant messaging aligned to customer challenges and business outcomes Qualify leads using a structured approach (e.g., BANT) to ensure strong handoff to GI Strategic Account Managers Partner with Sales Account Managers in GI on target accounts and outreach priorities Collaborate with marketing and SMEs to strengthen campaign effectiveness Maintain discipline to complete daily activity to drive pipeline creation Track and manage outbound activity and lead progression in Outreach with accuracy Consistently achieve and exceed individual KPIs, meeting monthly and quarterly targets What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong preference for Engineering major (Chemical, Industrial, Petroleum) or business. Early career professional with 2 years or less experience in sales, business development or customer facing roles. Brings with hunter mindset, resilient, competitive and disciplined with grit to handle high volume rejection while meeting daily activity targets. Strong written and verbal skills with a curious and inquisitive attitude to master complex industrial process, topics. Literacy in using or learning modern sales stack (Sales force, Outreach, Zoominfo, Linkedin Sales Navigator). Organised and detailed oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong focus on accountability and team collaboration.
