The Position We are seeking an experienced Automation Architect / DevOps Lead to own and modernize our build, release, and deployment processes for a mature .NET desktop application ecosystem. This role will lead a small team (3–5 engineers) to eliminate manual, fragmented build workflows and establish a scalable, reliable automation framework. Following the successful automation of the current product stack, this role will play a key strategic role in evolving the product toward a cloud-native SaaS architecture over the next 18–24 months. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and guide a team of 3–5 automation/DevOps engineers. Define best practices, standards, and documentation for build and deployment automation. Act as the technical authority for automation architecture and DevOps strategy. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end build, packaging, and deployment automation for a .NET desktop application and installer. Analyze existing manual and disjointed build processes and drive consolidation and standardization Automate application builds, installers, database components, and environment setup Own CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and related technologies Evaluate current tooling and recommend improvements or replacements where appropriate Establish repeatable, auditable, and reliable release processes Ensure platform security and compliance aligned with PCI DSS controls, working tightly with Corporate Compliance and Security teams.
