Lead DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) - Software Development Full-time

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsibility for and further development of the DevOps strategy, standards and processes within product development
• Optimizing and further developing build and release automation using CI/CD, as well as ensuring efficient and stable development and release processes.
• Developing and further developing containerization and the provisioning of microservices as well as Kubernetes deployments.
• Advising and supporting software architects and developers in the technical implementation, further development, and maintenance of the products.
• Supporting and integrating test automation and quality assurance into development and delivery processes
• Defining and establishing technical standards and best practices in the DevOps environment, and ensuring their sustainable implementation within the team.
• Coordinating and collaborating with Stadler-wide teams, particularly in the areas of IT security, cloud and infrastructure.
• Planning, prioritizing and coordinating DevOps tasks, as well as ensuring knowledge transfer within product development.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (m/f/d), studies with a focus on computer science or comparable qualification
• Solid professional experience in the DevOps environment as well as experience in a technically responsible or comparable role.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD (GitLab), Kubernetes, Linux and containerization
• Experience with programming and scripting languages, especially Python or Bash
• Experience in working with cloud platforms, ideally Azure, as well as in the technical management and further development of DevOps processes and standards.
• Strong communication and consulting skills, as well as the ability to explain technical topics in an understandable and targeted manner.
• Structured, independent and goal-oriented work style as well as a quick grasp of concepts
• Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
