This hybrid role blends hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and team mentorship, empowering you to shape cloud, ML Ops, and DevSecOps capabilities across enterprise and mission systems. You will architect secure CI/CD pipelines, guide modernization efforts, and influence key technical decisions while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. This is a fast-paced, highly visible opportunity to build resilient cloud and ML Ops platforms—while mentoring top talent and directly advancing U.S. national defense missions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, automation, and optimization of secure CI/CD pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments. Integrate DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and automated security enforcement. Architect and oversee Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes deployments. Implement ML Ops workflows supporting data pipelines, model deployment, and secure model lifecycle management. Mentor and guide engineering staff, promoting automation, observability, and security-first engineering principles. Collaborate with software, research, IT, and cybersecurity teams to ensure system resilience and compliance with DoD frameworks. Lead technical risk assessments, incident response initiatives, and secure system integrations. Stay current on emerging tools and technologies; recommend adoption to improve performance, security, and scalability. Serve as a hybrid senior contributor and team lead, making critical technical decisions while remaining hands-on in key areas. Apply strong engineering judgment to resolve complex technical challenges across multiple domains. Requirements U.S. Citizenship Active Top-Secret Clearance (or higher) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5–9+ years’ experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, ML Ops, software engineering, or system security. Strong proficiency with CI/CD technologies (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.). Demonstrated expertise in IaC, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with security tools (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container security). Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, DoD RMF, FedRAMP). Strong scripting/programming experience (Python, Bash, Go, etc.). Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineers. Excellent communication skills with diverse technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Skills / Experience Security or cloud certifications (CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, GIAC, CKA/CKS, etc.). Experience deploying Zero Trust architectures or advanced observability/monitoring solutions. Prior work in defense, aerospace, or secure government environments. ML Ops experience with model training pipelines, model registries, or GPU-based infrastructure. Why This Role Matters As a Lead DevOps / ML Ops Engineer, you will help shape the infrastructure behind next-generation digital engineering and national defense systems. Your work will drive secure automation, accelerate mission timelines, and enable engineers and analysts to operate with speed, precision, and trust. At PSG, your voice matters.
