Job Description The Lead Draftsman (Pipeline ) is responsible for preparing and developing detailed pipeline designs, drawings, and layouts for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. This role involves working closely with engineers, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: Develop and prepare pipeline design drawings, plans, and schematics using CAD/3D software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDMS, or equivalent). Assist in route selection, alignment sheets, and material take-offs. Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, codes (ASME, API, ISO), and project specifications. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to resolve design-related issues. Update and maintain pipeline drawings and documents throughout the project lifecycle. Review vendor drawings, perform clash checks, and incorporate feedback. Participate in design review meetings, HAZOP/HAZID, and constructability reviews. Support the preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Additional Information Proven experience in pipeline design, layout, and routing for oil, gas, or petrochemical projects. Strong knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API, and ISO standards for pipeline design. Proficient in design software: AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS, SmartPlant 3D, or equivalent
