Job Summary: The Lead Electronics Technician provides technical leadership and hands-on supervision to electronics personnel within the Electrical Shop while performing advanced maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex electronic control systems and equipment at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. The William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace's normal hours of operation (NHO) are 6:00 A.M. through 6:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, assign, and review the work of Electronics Technicians and related personnel. Maintain, repair, and calibrate complex control systems and electronic equipment. Read and interpret electronic schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. Perform calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair down to the electronic component level on all electronic systems. Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostics on electronic systems. Diagnose and resolve complex faults in electronic circuits and devices. Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to subordinate staff. Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, codes, and best practices. Respond to emergency issues involving electronic systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and team activities. Collaborate with other trades and departments on facility projects involving electronic controls. Qualifications and Special Requirements: Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance and repair of complex control systems. Must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics, perform calibration, maintenance and repair, down to the electronic component level, on all electronic systems. Demonstrated leadership or lead experience in electronics maintenance is preferred.
