The role covers complete mechanical train definition, including centrifugal pumps and auxiliary equipment such as steam turbines, gearboxes, clutches, lube oil systems, and skid packages, from contract award through final documentation. As Lead Project Engineer – Centrifugal Pumps , you will be responsible for: Leading and coordinating project engineering activities for centrifugal pump packages. Acting as primary technical interface with customers, EPCs, and internal stakeholders. Defining and technically managing complete mechanical systems, including: Centrifugal pumps Steam turbines / electric motors Gearboxes, clutches, couplings Lube oil and seal systems Skid‑mounted packages Controlling and monitoring project engineering budget, scope, and technical risks. Reviewing, approving, and managing project and vendor documentation (datasheets, drawings, P&IDs, reports), Ensuring documentation quality, traceability, and alignment with contractual and customer requirements Supporting manufacturing, assembly, testing (FAT), and troubleshooting as required. Planning, monitoring, and controlling the project engineering budget, ensuring efficiency and alignment with project financial targets. Identifing opportunities for cost optimization without compromising technical integrity or compliance To be successful in this role you will: Have Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Energetic, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Have a minimum 4-5 years significant experience in a multidisciplinary assignments, in Oil & Gas environment as System Engineer, Lead Design Eng., Mechanical design engineer, preferably in centrifugal pumps sector; Having a good knowledge of API standards (API 610, 614, 682) and rotating equipment integration. Have a good knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling software and MS Office Suite. Have proven experience leading complex, multi‑disciplinary projects. Be fluent Italian and in English.
