We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our EI&C department (Electrification, Instrumentation & Controls) in the Pulp and Energy business unit. You can be based in Tampere, Vantaa, Raisio, Ulvila, or Jyväskylä. This unit designs and delivers various equipment for pulp mills, energy producers, and other industries (e.g., marine) worldwide. Our deliveries include electrification, instrumentation, and process control as part of the total Valmet scope.
As the Lead Engineer, you will handle the delivery project from start to finish. You are responsible for the technical solution to meet customer standards and expectations. Additional responsibilities include following the quality of work, schedule and budget in your area. You will work closely with the Valmet project team, customer and suppliers, coordinating the engineering work and ensuring a unified outcome. You will work on more than one project at a time. Your actual tasks include for example making technical plans and decisions, scheduling, instructing and checking drawings, providing information to purchasing, and following and estimating the budget. One of your main tools will be the customer contract, which will help you manage our scope.
