Summary
We are looking for a “Lead Engineer for Airborne Sensors (f/m/d)” for the “Airborne Optronics Engineering” department at the Taufkirchen or Oberkochen site as soon as possible.
The department is responsible for the development of electro-optical sensors and systems for aircraft for protection and reconnaissance. The entire life cycle of the products is covered, from the offer phase to the development of demonstrators / prototypes, product development, series support and necessary adaptation developments.

Your Tasks

  • Assuming design responsibility for a product
  • Ensuring the implementation of the development strategy in product development
  • Defining overarching system requirements and deriving system architectures
  • Designing system and subsystem components and their interfaces
  • Developing design decisions with the specialist teams involved in development
  • Planning and controlling integration, commissioning and testing
  • Checking and approving development, product and verification documents
  • Interface to the customer for all technical issues, as well as for integration and acceptance
  • Participation in field tests and measurement campaigns as well as customer demonstrations

Your Profile

  • Completed university degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or similar
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of systems engineering
  • Several years of experience in the application of aviation development processes (e.g. DO-160, -178, -254)
  • Experience in requirements management / engineering
  • Experience in one of the following areas Electronics development, signal processing, software development, system simulation or verification management
  • High degree of initiative and commitment
  • Independent, goal-oriented approach in a complex environment
  • Business fluent in English and good knowledge of German
