Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the efforts of development of plant scale quality monitoring & assurance solutions specifically driven thru AI/ML/CVML based methods. This role demands a strong technical foundation combined with leadership capabilities to drive AI-powered automation, vision-based quality control, and data-driven process improvements. The Lead Engineer will collaborate across engineering, plant operations, plant quality and digital teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, machine learning, and advanced robotics into production environments, ensuring zero-defect manufacturing, operational efficiency, and scalability. Additionally, candidate is expected to build global eco-system thru internal collaborate along with external technology partners to adopt emerging solutions for intelligent quality management. For the internal talent development, supporting workforce upskilling in AI-enabled tools and smart manufacturing practices. "* Serves as a technical lead and/or project lead for capability development and deployment adavnced quality solutions Development of CVML and LLM based models for quality detections Design and deploy scalable intelligent quality solutions integrating vision analytics, AI and machine learning for real-time decision-making and defect detection Collaborate with R&D, operations, quality and IT teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into manufacturing ecosystems Integrate digital tools and analytics into traditional quality management processes to enable proactive, data-driven decision-making Use machine learning models to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend efficiency improvements Engage with technology leaders and startups to adopt cutting-edge solutions for vision and automation Deploy machine learning models to identify systemic quality issues and accelerate resolution through predictive insights Implement collaborative robots (cobots) integrated with vision systems for precision inspection and ergonomic efficiency Contributes to the value proposition development for technical projects and programs Establish frameworks for continuous improvement using AI-powered analytics to enhance process capability and reduce variability Leverage generative design tools to optimize manufacturability and quality performance during early product development stages Participates in internal open innovation events with businesses & other research groups Mentor engineers on AI/ML fundamentals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and upskilling aligned with Industry 4.0 standards Develops as a subject matter expert through relevant trainings and participation in relevant industry events - network and stay comtemporary on topics in their field Gets trained on internal systems & processes and implements them towards projects" Masters in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering >7 Years relevant industrial experience working with AI/ML, LLM, CVML solution - implementing for manufacturing engineering problems "* Excellent knowledge & Experience in machine learning models, development methods Demonstrated experience developing and deploying quality monitoring solutions for plant quality monitoring / assurance in production Working experience with demonstrated projects on application of machine learning for insights and decision making in engineering processes Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Azure OpenAI API integration, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable enterprise solutions Excellent proficiency in programming languages - Python, LLM Azure Cloud and Architecture certified professional with hands-on expertise in multimodal LLMs Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Good interpersonal skills - flexibility to adapt to persons with different geographical, ethnic, educational backgrounds. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
