This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Engineer based in India. This role sits at the heart of a major platform modernization initiative, focused on transforming legacy backend systems into scalable, cloud-native services. You will lead the redesign and migration of Erlang-based services into modern Node.js and TypeScript APIs, enabling faster, more reliable, and more maintainable digital experiences. Working in an AWS cloud environment, you will help shape event-driven architectures and robust backend foundations that power frontend applications and downstream services. The role combines deep technical ownership with architectural influence, offering the chance to reduce technical debt at scale. You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product teams, and platform specialists in a highly agile and transformation-focused environment. This is a high-impact position where your decisions directly improve system performance, scalability, and long-term engineering efficiency. \n Accountabilities: In this role, you will be responsible for leading the redesign and migration of legacy backend systems into modern cloud-native services.
