Supporting the site lead team, with setting to works, permits and RAMS, overseeing the site maintenance team daily works including planning, assisting with subcontractor setting to works and daily support with escorting and delivery, general daily planning and safety integration with the teams, improve hazard observations, and LCF reporting, support with PDA usage and CATS timesheets, improving visibility of planned works and general day to day support tasks, there will be requirement to assist the onsite maintenance team as and when required in other areas which will include working on maintenance tasks.
The candidate will be required to have general building experience and have a qualification and experience in general plumbing, this role will require a smart thinker and hard worker, and you will need to use the tools with the general maintenance team.
Main Duties
Working Maintenance supervisor to the team, Setting to works of the maintenance team and sub-contractors
Writing and supporting the RAMS Process
Working to the clients permit systems
Planning and preparation of works and improving visibility
Assisting with Sub-contractor works when required, this will include escorting on site
Carrying out site safety observations and LiveSafe visits
General safety integration within the teams to improve safety observations and LCF reporting
Supporting and improving the use of PDA and CATS usage at site
Working to improve and support the site training and identify shortfalls
What we are looking for
This will require someone with experience of working at a similar role, ideally within a construction and nuclear industry, the ideal candidate will need to be a fast thinker and work proactively to support the site needs and the business.
Ideally have some supervisory experience and must have a plumbing qualification.
Experience of working with Sub-contractors and a site team will be required, setting to works and planning of the Maintenance team is key to this role.
Safety will always be the number one priority and will need constant focus, this role is a key part of the senior management team and will require a strong individual to ensure the team meeting the standards of the client at site.
This is a working Supervisor role, so you must be a part of the maintenance team that can carry out specified duties.
General building and plumbing, basic door maintenance, general civil task like replaying paving slabs and fixing kerbs.
Must have IOSH managing safely or SMSTS
