Description:
MINIMUM POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET Accredited University.
- At least ten (10) years’ experience managing, providing, operating, and maintaining highly complex facilities and infrastructure and management and supervision of an engineering staff.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Ability to exercise discretion and make effective decisions.
- Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must be a USN to fill this position.
- Strong ability to work and lead as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Possess a valid state issued driver’s license and passport.
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment
- Prior overseas government contracting experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Provide Installation Engineering services for comprehensive planning, programming, Base Comprehensive Asset Management Plan (BCAMP) integrator, and cradle-to-grave project development and execution of base level facility/infrastructure requirements. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide management and supervision of a diverse team for managing, providing, operating, and maintaining highly complex facilities and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain the Installation Development Plan (IDP), District Plans, and Component plans IAW AFI 32-1015 and the Integrated Installation Planning Playbook.
- Lead updates and planning activities related to the IDP and District Plans and develop Component Plans (e.g., radiation plans, transportation, parking, Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ)) related to IDP.
- Conduct Site Planning IAW AFI 32-1015 and the Site Planning Playbook: Investigate and document site conditions; Perform constraints and opportunities analysis of siting action; Develop alternatives for siting action.
- Coordinate sitings to avoid encroachment into established airfield clear zones. Participate/coordinate with operations, safety, AIG, RAF, and FAA on airfield-related activities.
- Utilize Geospatial Information Services (GIS) and associated electronic information support tools to develop and maintain plans and maps associated with the Installation Development Plan (IDP), District Plans, and Component plans, including radiation plans, facility site development plans, waivers of Airfield and Aerospace Criteria, line-of-sight maps, real estate acquisition plans and disposal information plans.
- Maintain and update a listing of all temporary facilities, including trailers and interim facilities available upon request by the Government.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
