Description
Review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for gas systems. Size and select equipment such as vaporizers, pressure regulators, valves, and pipelines for cryogenic and high-pressure gases. Ensure proper insulation and vacuum jacketed piping for cryogenic lines. Interface with utilities and facility teams for gas supply and distribution. Implement automated control systems for gas monitoring and safety interlocks. Conduct hazard analysis (HAZOP) and risk assessments for gas systems. Ensure compliance with international standards (ASME, CGA, NFPA, ISO). Troubleshoot gas supply issues and optimize consumption. Develop preventive maintenance plans for gas systems. Lead installation and commissioning of gas systems. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment procurement and installation. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering. Strong knowledge of cryogenic systems and high-purity gas handling. Familiarity with vacuum jacketed piping, pressure control, and flow measurement. Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Aspen HYSYS, or equivalent). 10-15 years in process engineering with focus on industrial gases. Hands-on experience in semiconductor, chemical, or pharmaceutical facilities preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and project management abilities. ASME Pressure Vessel Certification Safety certifications (OSHA, NEBOSH) Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing (optional)
