QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in software engineering leadership roles, ideally in ad-tech, mar-tech, or large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Strong expertise in backend engineering (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, or Java).
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency in databases and data pipelines (SQL/NoSQL, Kafka, Spark, etc.).
• Deep understanding of tracking, attribution, affiliate and performance marketing systems.
• Knowledge of privacy frameworks and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, ATT).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of building scalable and high-performance systems.Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate across global teams.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer to drive the technical vision and development of TyrTracking, our in-house affiliate tracking and attribution platform. The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering expertise with leadership skills to ensure the platform’s scalability, reliability, and innovation to meet global business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and optimize TyrTracking’s core systems while setting the long-term architectural direction.
• Implement technical strategy to ensure scalability, reliability, and data accuracy in large-scale tracking operations.
• Work closely with Product, Data, and Operations teams to translate business needs into concrete technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing, while actively contributing code and resolving complex challenges alongside the team.
• Promote a culture of innovation and best practices, ensuring code quality and proactively addressing root causes of issues.
• Develop and enforce privacy compliance measures (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and maintain alignment with industry standards.
• Integrate and experiment with new technologies to enhance performance, efficiency, and system resilience.
• Set up and actively manage system monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response, documenting learnings to prevent recurrence.
