Responsibilities:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Enterprise Risk Officer to join its Enterprise Risk team, with responsibility for leading the risk analytics team. You will assist the CRO, Deputy CRO, Head of Credit Risk and members of the wider risk leadership team in managing core risk data reporting, including IFRS 9 model data components, to facilitate ongoing risk oversight and reporting; oversight of model risk; and input and challenge of annual regulatory stress testing and data submissions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the production of core credit risk reporting data, underpinning management and Board level reporting.
- Support quarterly credit risk regulatory report submission and quarterly credit risk appetite metric calculations.
- Manage IFRS 9 loss provision model data components (including engagement with group model service providers).
- Lead and direct a team with limited supervisory focus.
- Support the CRO and wider Risk function in oversight of conformance with and understanding of the data management framework requirements (including BCBS 239 requirements).
- Input and challenge of annual regulatory stress testing and data submissions; annual strategic plan; annual ICAAP and annual risk appetite processes.
- Lead model risk oversight, including oversight of outsourced agreements with group model risk management and model governance teams
- Review moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in depth evaluation of variable factors
- Utilize risk knowledge to issue resolutions for moderate to high-risk companywide projects and initiatives
- Develop, implement, monitor and interpret, risk based governance programs, create new policies and guidelines
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet risk area, projects and process deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of the risk policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Partner with managers to coordinate risk reporting to executive management, committees, and Board of Directors
