Description

The Lead Enterprise Security Architect will guide and deliver the information security roadmap by collaborating with customers, Enterprise Security Architects, and the Principal Security Architect. You’ll act as a technical design authority, offering consultancy and ensuring compliance with security regulations and best practices in a dynamic, change-driven environment.
This role combines internal team support and external business focus, helping develop and deliver Enterprise Security Architecture Products and Services. You’ll manage initiatives and tasks in an agile manner, collaborating with teams to determine the best technical solutions.
Additionally, you’ll drive security architecture within both Information Security and the wider organization, supporting the development of architecture practices, identifying new trends, and mentoring the team. You’ll also represent the function in organizational work and meetings.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Security Architecture, hands-on technical security, and the design and implementation of security solutions
  • Proficient in security modelling, frameworks, and tools (e.g., SparxEA, Archi) with deep knowledge of security principles, methodologies, and industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
  • Skilled in threat and risk modelling, governance, and aligning security controls with business strategy, regulation, and technical constraints
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments; holds or is pursuing certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technical, project, and business teams to gather security product requirements and define high-level needs.
  • Support security product delivery through backlog management, prioritisation of initiatives, epics, and user stories.
  • Participate in planning, prioritisation, and roadmap sessions to align delivery across Product, Planning, and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead Agile processes within the team, driving continuous improvements alongside Agile Delivery Coaches.
  • Define and develop secure technical patterns, blueprints, and architectural standards to support emerging technologies.
  • Drive innovation and horizon scanning within the security architecture function, enhancing adoption of enterprise-wide standards.
  • Assess technical solutions across multiple domains, deputise for the Principal Security Architect, and represent security in wider forums.
  • Support and develop the Enterprise Security Architecture team through career progression, coaching, and collaboration with Security Operations and GRC functions.
